#SingleGoals2020: Larisha is sharing her story of healing to help others

We’re wrapping up the month of May with a new #SingleGoals2020 feature from Capitol Heights, Maryland! Larisha W. is in her early 30s walking out her healing process from her past, which is a major #singlegoal we should all seek to accomplish. Larisha is active in her purpose in the Body of Christ as well; check out her transparent interview below:

BLISS: Share how you are making the most out of your singleness:

Larisha: “In 2015, I had to be honest at first; I was like ‘WOW, here we are again Lord.’ After multiple relationships failing before that point now, and my last ex ghosting me, I committed to undergo a healing journey with God. What did that look like? I examined my condition (mentally, emotionally, and sexually). I sought God to conduct heart surgery on me because I was broken, confused, and downright bitter at how the relationship ended.”

“I had to forgive myself for betraying my body, mind, and spirit.”

“I knew I had no business dealing with any of the guys of my past in the first place. Looking back on that experience, it was indeed a wake-up call for me because I am not like every other woman. Not to seem cocky, but more so confident and clear about my identity in Christ. I have been bought with a price and I can no longer give my mind, body, and spirit to anyone else so freely and carelessly. I am not settling for anybody #periodt because I desire to be with who God has ordained for me.”

“I am approaching five years of singleness in August, and I credit living a blissful single journey because I sought God while doing the work (being consistent). I have a community of accountability partners—shout out to my fantastic Life Coach, Rachel G. Woodson. Lastly, I started pursuing my God-given purpose.”

BLISS: What is one piece of advice that you would like to share with other singles?

LW: “Most importantly, YOU ARE WORTHY OF LOVE regardless of where you are on your single season journey. We (me included) have to be content with being single and not focusing on what you do not have but focus on what you have gained (peace, wisdom, self-respect, identity, values, etc.).”

BLISS: What are you currently doing in ministry or for the Kingdom of God?

LW: “When I am not leading Divinely Destined Ministries, LLC, an organization geared towards helping people to move from where they are to where they desire to be, I am actively serving in other ministries such as the House of Healing, DMV in the Worship/Fine Arts and Marketing/Media tribes, and as a Board Member for a non-profit, Journey to Purity. I take great joy in serving other ministries to assist leadership in fulfilling their God-given destiny in the earth and always pointing others back to Christ!”

BLISS: What project or business do you want to share with the BLISSforSingles audience?

LW: “For as long as I can remember, it has been in my heart that I see my SISTERS WIN!!! I am grateful that God has afforded me some fantastic opportunities to share my journey with women in hopes of inspiring them to become the best version of themselves, so I recently launched Destiny Sisterhood. Destiny Sisterhood is a women’s group that is rooted in Christian biblical principles in all that we do.”

“My heart’s desire is that we will be a community of women who want and need a support system that will challenge and help us propel towards our dreams. If you are interested, my sisters and I would love to have you on this sisterhood journey. Here is how you can connect with us”:

Facebook Private Group – Destiny Sisterhood

Instagram – @destinysisterhood

Web – divinelydestined.net/destinysisterhood

BLISS: Anything else that you’d like to share with us?

LW: “One of the ways to maintain singlehood bliss is to reflect on your past, enjoy the present, and prepare for your future! Be encouraged and trust God’s timing, because when purpose meets purpose, generations will reap the benefits of your godly-ordained union.”

Thank you so much Larisha for sharing your single goals and ministry resources with us!
