How is everyone doing?
I am grateful for life, God’s protection and provisions exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or imagine in all of our lives.
Things got real serious real quick, didn’t it?
I have been trying to steer clear of any information related to this invisible disease. Unfortunately, I get sucked back into reading and watching updates from our officials. Afterward, I am left with fluctuating emotions, faith, and prayers every time. When this happens, I know it’s time to feed my soul.
One particular evening I turned to one of my favorite preaching channels, and a guest minister was on. He was sharing the impact of COVID-19 and that there are people who are at home without a job nor food. This caused my eyebrows to raise because I did not know there are people at home not receiving money with no food to eat. So when the guest pastor made that statement it shocked me; I immediately was ready to pray for God to provide for those people. Then out of nowhere, the host interjected with, “now this is where sowing a seed comes in.“
What!? Now I am aggravated and irritated because this man heard the same thing I heard: there are people who are at home without a job, income nor food. So why is he asking them to sow a seed?!
This pushed me past the point of irritation; I had to write about it for this month’s post. I am so tired of people throwing God into their hustle. Yes, I called it a hustle because this man wants money and is manipulating the Bible to get what he wants, money!
There are people in serious need, yet the host took their need for his own personal gain and used the Bible to push his agenda. If this ‘sow a seed for a blessing from God’ really worked the way this man was saying, he would have told every one of us watching his show to call in so he could sow a seed into each one of us so God could release to him his blessings for his ministry. So, No! No one can buy blessings God has for them from a man who needs money for his “ministry from donators so he can continue to share the gospel.”
God sent His only Son to the earth to die for our sins. Salvation and life everlasting is free! Blessings are free! Those are just a couple of things afforded us in our benefits package called our inheritance, that is activated the minute we receive Christ into our lives. Once again, salvation is FREE for us because Jesus paid the price with His life!
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3
This is the Lord speaking in the verse; there’s no price attached nor is there a third party included in His promise to us. Each one of us has direct access to God because of Jesus. When we communicate with Him, He interacts with us. There is no amount of money we can give to a person to receive what God has in store for us.
As I penned this post it was placed on my heart to search online and include assistance offered in my state, surrounding states, and the state where my son resides for whoever needs to access them during this trying time.
